large high pressure double liquefied gas furnace

  • Hi Rod! I would not be concerned with the gas pressure unless you are having trouble with the furnace igniting properly or if the furnace sounds like a jet engine (too much gas pressure) while running. Too much gas pressure would make the furnace go off on limit and this would not be good. Your furnace should run without going off on limit.

  • The fourth category of furnace is the high-efficiency, or condensing furnace. High-efficiency furnaces can achieve from 89% to 98% fuel efficiency. This style of furnace includes a sealed combustion area, combustion draft inducer and a secondary heat exchanger. Because the heat exchanger removes most of the heat from the exhaust gas, it

  • After the low pressure carburizing, the loads are quenched inside the vacuum furnace in oil or in a high pressure gas stream. Such vacuum furnaces for low pressure carburizing exist as single chamber furnaces with integrated high pressure gas quench or as double chamber furnaces with a directly connected quench chamber for liquid or gas quenching.

  • Furnaces in many vacation and motor homes are fired by liquid propane gas (LP) that's stored in a pressurized tank. A pressure regulator attached to the tank reduces the high pressure in the tank

  • Cut the gas back some by slightly closing the gas valve (the one on the pipe, not in the unit), however be prepared to have to reset the furnace occasionally if your local gas pressure drops intermittently. Watch the flames as you do it. Just, "take the edge off". This will cost you more in electricity, as it'll run longer to come up to temp, but it will bring you a more even comfort level.

  • On a 90% furnace you need 150 cfm of supply air per 10,000 Btu. Refer to a fan chart to set the correct cfm for the furnace so you can complete setting gas pressure and proper heat exchanger temperature rise (if the system has a bypass humidifier, make sure you close the damper during this process). 7. Perform a combustion analysis.

  • The gas pressure delivered to a heating appliance (gas range, clothes dryer, gas heating furnace, gas fired water heater, etc) needs to be both constant and at the proper pressure for that appliance. Because of varying outdoor temperatures, the LP gas pressure inside the storage tank may be as low as 10 psi in freezing weather or as high as 200
